about
Lamech was an Old Testament dude from Genesis 4 in the Bible. This is his story.
This is a song I wrote a few years ago and always wanted to record with my buddy Joe Ficarra, but seeing that he lived in Kentucky and I in south Florida, this proved a challenge. For New Year's 2016 I took a trip to visit Joe and brought along with me my instruments and a mic and we set aside one afternoon to track a bunch of stuff for me to piece together later when I got back home. Joe invited his friend Nick to come play with us who serendipitously happened to play the cello! We recorded the parts in a room at Southern Baptist Seminary and when we finished rushed back to Joe's house to see the premiere of the new season of the BBC Sherlock. Sherlock was good, and the song turned out pretty good too.
lyrics
Oh, hear my voice
Oh, you wives of mine
Oh, listen to what I say
Oh, your ears incline
Hey!
Oh, I killed a man
Oh, for wounding me
Oh, I killed a man
Oh, for striking me
Hey!
If Cain's is seven-fold
Mine be that eleven-fold
Hey! Ho! Ha! Hey!
